Representatives of 11 companies from the Republic of Srpska, currently in Vienna as participants in the Fit4Austria program, attended the event organized by the Austrian-Serbian Economic Forum in Vienna.

The final annual gathering of the Austrian-Serbian Economic Forum brought together Serbian diaspora businessmen and Austrian business community representatives, and the event was also attended by the Head of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Austria, Mladen Filipović.

Filipović said that a group of businessmen from the Republic of Srpska was staying in Vienna as part of the final activities of the second phase of the Fit4Austria project, and that in the previous days, meetings were organized in the Viennese Chamber of Commerce for our businessmen to establish direct contacts with Austrian peers and discuss the potential for cooperation improvement.

The Representative Office in Austria, in cooperation with the Austrian Chamber of Commerce WIFI Institute, Banja Luka Innovation Centre, Republic of Srpska Chamber of Commerce and Development Agency, organized two cycles of the Fit4Austria project during this year.

The participants will receive certificates of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WIFI International certificate), which have the character of public documents and are valid on the market throughout the EU, and the Representative Office plans to implement the Fit4Austria project during the next year.

‘We are pleased to have had the opportunity to introduce our entrepreneurs to the activities of the Austrian-Serbian Economic Forum, which encourages economic cooperation with Austria and promotes the investment potentials of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska. This event was an opportunity to exchange views on plans for the next year’, Filipović said.

On this occasion, the promotion of wineries from the Republic of Srpska and Serbia was organized, including presentation of the wines of the companies Vukoje, Tvrdoš and Jungić. On the eve of the promotion, the Representative Office organized a Master Class training for representatives of the Serbian wineries in order to introduce our winemakers to the specifics of the Austrian market and the potential for joining the gastronomic offer. The Master Class was held by Darrell Joseph, an expert in the wine market of Central and South Eastern Europe.
