Minister Zlatan Klokić appeared on the show Iz drugog ugla on M Television, discussing some very important topics and projects dealt with by the Ministry of European Integration and International Cooperation.
Those topics included the Diaspora Register and the Memorandum on Cooperation between the Governments of the Republic of Srpska and Serbia signed recently at the Pan-Serbian Assembly. He also touched on current topics such as the adopted UN resolution, its impact on regional relations, as well as relations within BiH.
The Minister said that the focus should be on economic cooperation between the Republic of Srpska (business environment, tax policy, electricity price, investment opportunities – business zones, Liman business zone in Gradiška planned to be built) and the diaspora, which should be mutual.
The third and fourth generations abroad can be the best ambassadors of the Republic of Srpska and Serbia, who can open the door for the Republic of Srpska.
The Minister highlighted the cooperation with the Association of Serbs of Slovenia, with which future activities had been agreed.
In the coming period, it is also planned to hold a business forum of businessmen from the diaspora to present the potentials of the Republic of Srpska.
The Diaspora Register, which aims to facilitate cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and the diaspora, is still active, and a positive example is the Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education enabling cooperation between scientists from the Republic of Srpska and the diaspora. Local self-government units of the Republic of Srpska submitted requests to the Ministry of European Integration and International Cooperation regarding individuals from abroad originating from their territories in order to establish cooperation.
