Representatives of SNSD and United Srpska signed agreements on cooperation with the Democratic Party of Serbs in North Macedonia.

The meeting pointed out that Srpska would continue to protect national interests of Serbs in Macedonia and of Serbian people around the world.

Preserving Serbian identity is a task, and unity is a precondition. According to the signatories, the agreement is the result of many years of cooperation and fight for Serbs in Macedonia to preserve their identity.

- With this, we do not want to endanger anyone anywhere, in BiH or North Macedonia. We just want to continue to fight for the rights guaranteed by the International Convention, the rights to script, language, religion - says Radovan Višković, SNSD vice president.

For protection of national interests, Serbs in Macedonia turn to their motherlands, Serbia and Srpska, points out Ivan Stoilković, president of the Democratic Party of Serbs in North Macedonia.

- The signing of this agreement is a confirmation of everything we have done in the past ten years, and that is the policy of protection of Serbian national interests in Macedonia and solidarity with the Serbian people wherever they live - Stoilković added.

- We base our connection on our own identity, European concepts of protection of the right to culture, religion, free political expression, and we are proud to be connected - said Nenad Stevandić, United Srpska president.

Stoilković was the only one in the parliament of North Macedonia to vote against the unilateral recognition of self-proclaimed Kosovo and the Resolution on Srebrenica. To preserve the Serbian voice in 14 local assemblies in North Macedonia, Srpska will also provide assistance in local elections.
