The second component of the Sputnik vaccine will arrive in Srpska by the end of July, announced the head of Srpska’s Representative Office in Moscow, Duško Perović.
Perović says that the remaining vaccines have been delayed due to the mass vaccination of population in Russia, and that intensive negotiations are underway for Srpska to receive the remaining vaccines as soon as possible.
– There still has not been 90 days since the dose that arrived on 27 April. There are three more weeks and they will certainly be there by then. I understand the people, but it is not that critical. There is no need for so much panic – Perović noted for RTRS.
He pointed out that a new wave had hit Russia.
– The third wave has happened, and Russia is two months behind the European wave of the pandemic. The situation in some regions is very critical, even the lockdown of cities is being mentioned, which is not popular, but it is inevitable due to the alarming situation – concluded Perović.
Perović says that mass vaccination of the population has been ordered, and that all doses of vaccines will arrive by the set deadline.
He notes that the third wave of the pandemic has disrupted the vaccination process in Russia, and that all available resources have been directed towards mass vaccination and thus for the benefit of the population.
