Mladen Filipović, Head of the Representative Office, spoke in Banja Luka with Staša Košarac, Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations at the Council of Ministers, and Stevan Rajić, Director of Romanija House, about concrete steps to further support entrepreneurs from the Romanija region and boost production, and the opportunities to place Romanija products on the Austrian market.
It was agreed to make Romanija House products available soon in a Romanija Corner, alongside products of the Herzeg and Krajina House in Vienna.
Discussions also covered organizing Romanija Days in Vienna next year, to serve as an opportunity to present Romanija’s economic, tourism, and cultural potential to the Austrian public.
According to Minister Košarac, the possibility was also raised of Austrian partners investing in Romanija House and providing a mini-dairy facility, in order to increase production, create conditions for its further development, and boost the export of Romanija products to Austria. – It is particularly significant that there is serious interest among Austrian businesspeople in cooperation within the agricultural sector, with a focus on livestock farming. We wish to apply Austrian experience and standards in this sector, and I am committed to making the BiH Veterinary Office fully available for this mission – said Košarac. He noted that he would also pay special attention to supporting trade fairs and other business events organized by the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Vienna, as such events offered a vital opportunity to connect local producers with new partners and markets.
‘The Republic of Srpska Representation in Austria will continue to support the linking of local producers with Austrian partners and the creation of new opportunities for placing our products. Romanija is a region with a large potential for developing and enhancing cooperation with the Austrian market,’ said Filipović.
