A chocolate production facility in Gradiška starting next year. An Austrian investor will establish a company producing 100% organic, natural-based products. The investment is worth about one million marks.

Wolfgang Styx, Austrian company owner, has already launched the initiative and founded a firm in order to build the facility in Gradiška. He said that excellent relationships had already been established with the relevant ministry and the local community, who had provided excellent business conditions.

– The goal is to open a production facility, initially, for chocolate currently produced in Austria. Here, we would produce using local products and ingredients. Our aim over the next two years, in addition to employing ten workers, is to make a significant investment in production capacity – said Wolfgang Styx, owner of the company STYX.

– For the selection of a construction company to carry out the work, the Gradiška city administration has also made itself available to immediately resolve any potential administrative issues – noted Zlatan Klokić, Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation of the Republic of Srpska.

For this reason, Gradiška has firmly established itself as one of the most attractive local communities for foreign investors. There are three business zones available to them.

– The business zone in Nova Topola, the business zone near the bypass, and finally, the free economic zone near the new bridge and the new border crossing. Mr. Styx has already secured a building plot in Nova Topola to accommodate the first phase, a facility for his needs – said Zoran Adžić, Mayor of Gradiška.

Srpska’s interests and potential are promoted in Austria daily by the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska.

– In addition to presenting our economy and business capacities in Austria, we also serve as a primary point of contact for investors and already have more than 250 of them operating in BiH and the Republic of Srpska – noted Mladen Filipović, Head of the Republic of Srpska Representation in Austria.

According to Representation records, interest among Austrians in investing and doing business in Srpska has been growing.
