A delegation of the Investment Development Bank of the Republic of Srpska is taking part in the prestigious 86th Thessaloniki International Fair, where it is presenting investment opportunities, potentials and projects of the Republic of Srpska and its local communities to institutions, businessmen and potential investors.

During the Fair, a meeting was held with the Secretary General of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Yannis Smirlis, who is also the president of the Greek Development Agency Enterprise Greece, whose business priority is the expansion of Greece’s investment activities and cooperation with other countries, announced IDB.

The discussion, which was also attended by the Director of the Development Agency, Marinos Yiannopoulos, expressed the willingness to soon organize a meeting between Greek businessmen and businessmen from the Republic of Srpska on investment opportunities in Srpska and other forms of business cooperation.

The announcement stated that after the businessmen’s meeting it was proposed to consider the signing of a memorandum on cooperation between the IDB Srpska and the Greek Development Agency Enterprise Greece.

The Srpska IDB delegation includes BiH Ambassador to Greece, Milica Ristović Krstić, and Head of the Srpska Representative Office in Greece, Jelena Jovanović, who deserve great credit for organizing the meetings and representing well the potential of the Republic of Srpska in that country.

The Thessaloniki International Fair started on 10 September and will last until Sunday, 18 September.

The announcement reads that IDB participation in the Thessaloniki Fair followed as part of the activities on strong promotion of the potential of the Republic of Srpska abroad, which has already yielded first visits by potential foreign investors to Srpska during the summer.

The delegation of Srpska IDB has so far promoted Srpska’s investment potential in Austria, Italy and the Russian Federation, with the crown of presenting the investment profiles of the Republic of Srpska, its cities and municipalities at the Second Investment Conference Invest Srpska 2022, held from 5 to 7 September in Prijedor.
