The traditional event Days of Serbian Culture in Timisoara opened officially today and will last until 29 November, announced the Ministry of Culture and Information of Serbia.
This event will be marked by literary evenings, film screenings, concerts of folk and spiritual music, theater performances, art and documentary exhibitions.
The organizer of the event aimed at preserving the cultural identity and tradition of the Serbian people, is the Alliance of Serbs in Romania, with the support of the Serbian Ministry of Culture and Information, Romanian Ministry of Culture, and International Relations Department.
The Assistant Minister of Culture and Information of Serbia, Slavica Trifunović, opened officially the Days of Serbian Culture in Timisoara and said that she hoped that the event would attract the attention not only of Serbs, but also of citizens of other nationalities.
She added that it was important for Serbs living in Romania to become acquainted with the artistic achievements of their home country, emphasizing that Serbia had something to present to the world both through its heritage and through modern artistic expressions.
