The Tesla Science Foundation of Serbia is announcing its award-winning literary competition within the traditional event Tesla Days for all elementary school students from the Republic of Serbia, Serbian schools and Nikola Tesla clubs in the diaspora.
The theme of the In the Name of People and Peace – Tesla competition invites children to explore the values of peace, humanity, knowledge and understanding through literary creativity. Students may reflect on the importance of peace in the modern world, the role of the individual in building a better society, Tesla as a symbol of knowledge and humanity, along the lines of: What does peace mean today? How does science contribute to understanding between people? What would Tesla say to humanity? How does each individual contribute to peace? An imaginary meeting with Tesla.
Children are required to write up to 200 words (typed or handwritten) of poetry or prose, or to propose a slogan that best describes the connection between our greatest inventor Nikola Tesla and the given topic.
The school encrypts the works together with the students and mentors. Please email school address, telephone number and email address to the Tesla Science Foundation along with the encrypted student work. The Tesla Science Foundation will publish the school names and locations of the most successful candidates’ works in addition to work codes.
Prepared works should be sent in electronic format (Word document), and handwritten works should be scanned. Tesla Science Foundation’s email address: info@nikolatesla.org.rs.
