Today in Belgrade, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, presented to the Serb member of the Presidency of BiH, Milorad Dodik, a preliminary draft law on protection of the Serbian language and Cyrillic script, due to be adopted by the assemblies of Serbia and Republic of Srpska on National Unity Day, 15 September.
Vučić noted on his Instagram account that he agreed with Dodik in today’s conversation that the cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and Srpska was exceptional at all levels and that the Serbian people could not allow itself any conflicts or return to past times.
- Our togetherness and unified action in the field of economy, culture, education, historical memory must not be called into question at any moment – said Vučić.
He stated that he had had ‘substantial talks with Dodik about the future of the entire region,’ and that they had discussed in particular the Open Balkans initiative, as well as specific projects, such as construction of a motorway section from Kuzmin to Bjeljina.
