On Saturday, 19 September this year, the Alliance of Serbian Associations of Slovenia organized the first Gathering of the Serbian Diaspora in Slovenia in Portorož.

Representatives of 12 Serbian associations from Slovenia, the Republic of Serbia, Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Croatia and the Republic of Srpska took part in the Gathering. During the Gathering, the above associations presented a rich and diverse cultural and artistic program before a large audience.

At the Gathering opening ceremony, the attendees were welcomed by Archpriest-Stavrophor A. Obradović, parish priest of the Church of Sts. Cyril and Methodius in Ljubljana, M. Špica, Consul at the Serbian Embassy in Ljubljana, and M. Glamočanin, President of the Alliance of Serbian Associations of Slovenia, who presented certificates of appreciation to the participants.
