The Government of the Republic of Srpska will continue to support and help development projects of importance for the population in all local communities in Srpska, and will provide all necessary support to future investors through the Investment Directorate, announced Prime Minister Radovan Višković.

Within the Fourth International Diaspora Fair, currently held in Zurich, Višković spoke in separate meetings with diaspora businessmenoriginating from the Republic of Srpska who operate in Switzerland, and representatives of the local communities from Srpska participating in the Zurich fair.

The meeting discussed the possibilities of establishing and further improving business cooperation in various fields, with a focus on modernization of transport infrastructure, and construction and rehabilitation of regional and access roads in local communities in the Republic of Srpska, announced the Government’s Public Relations Bureau.

Višković noted many advantages of investing in the Republic of Srpska, and introduced to potential investors the stimulating tax rates in the Republic of Srpska, favorable business costs, incentives for new employment and introduction of new technologies, as well as other incentives when investing.

Diaspora businessmen informed the Prime Minister and representatives of local communities from Srpska about their business plans, and expressed interest in participating together with the representatives of local communities in the implementation of various infrastructure projects throughout the Republic of Srpska.

Although the pandemic and the crisis in Ukraine have left scars on the Swiss economy, the good will to invest in Srpska is there.

This was evident also at the finished Serbian Diaspora Business Fair, where contacts were established by companies from the Republic of Srpska, Serbia and Switzerland.
