Organized by the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Serbia, the Herzeg House project was presented yesterday in the Press Center of the Journalists’ Association of Serbia.

The Mayor of Trebinje, Mirko Ćurić, and Director of the Trebinje Agrarian Fund, Veselin Dutina, spoke about the Herzeg House project and announced that the first Herzeg House in Serbia, with authentic Herzegovinian products, would open in Belgrade during March.

The area of 85 square meters in Makenzijeva street 44 in Vračar will exhibit about 400 items – famous Herzegovinian wines, cheeses and cured meat produced in the traditional way, honey, juices and other organic fruit and vegetable products, as well as cosmetics.

The Mayor of Trebinje, Mirko Ćurić, said that since the opening of first Herzeg House in Trebinje in 2017, two more have been opened in the Republic of Srpska – in Banja Luka and in Istočno Sarajevo.

‘From the very beginning, there were only about twenty producers with around 300 to 400 products, and today we have more than 130 producers and more than 1,000 products’, said Ćurić.

He pointed out that the goal was for all products from Trebinje and Herzegovina to reach the markets of Belgrade and Serbia.

The Director of the City of Trebinje Agrarian Fund, Veselin Dutina, explained the way in which Trebinje successfully promoted the development of agricultural production within the Herzeg House project, among other things, through guaranteed placement of local producers’ range.

‘Our products are one hundred percent natural, with no artificial flavors or sweeteners added. All products are analyzed at the Public Health Institute of the Republic of Srpska, so at Herzeg House you buy a fully health-tested product made in traditional way’, said Dutina.

The presentation of the Herzeg House project was preceded by signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the City of Trebinje, Trebinje Student Home and Belgrade Student Center.

This agreement was signed by the Mayor of Trebinje, Mirko Ćurić, the Director of Trebinje Student Home, Miro Gredo, and Director of the Belgrade Student Center, Ljubiša Antonijević.
