The second Herzegovina products fair Herceg Fest was opened in Trebinje today, where 24 exhibitors from Herzegovina House presented their products.
After a year’s break, the producers of indigenous Herzegovina products presented their offer. Wine, honey, cheese, garlic, herbal preparations – all on display in the center of Trebinje.
The Agrarian Fund of the city of Trebinje organized the second Herceg Fest to present further the products of its cooperators. These products can be found in Herzegovina House, which now exists already in four cities.
The Director of the Agrarian Fund, Veselin Dutina, said that Herzegovina House producers had a new product to offer every day, and that the number of products had increased from the initial 180 items to more than 1,000.
– Today, the exhibitors presented the gastronomic abundance of Herzegovina. We wanted to show as many as possible of our traditional products and everything available in Herzegovina House to the daily growing number of tourists in Trebinje – said Dutina.
The Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the Council of Ministers, Staša Košarac, said that this fair was a result of a good policy of city government structures and people engaged in primary production, and that this was the best event to show what can be done together.
Košarac pointed out that it was very important to provide a market for products from the Republic of Srpska, both in BiH and abroad, and that he was happy with the steps of the Agrarian Fund and the city regarding the concept of Herzegovina House.
Today, the Tourist Organization of Srpska promoted Trebinje’s unique project – a virtual trip to ten destinations in the Republic of Srpska.
