The Gold Institute for International Cooperation organized the first Economic and Security Summit Europe in Banja Luka. The aim of this event was, among other things, to present the Republic of Srpska as a place for international dialogue.
Minister Klokić participated in the panel on Economic integration and regional development. The panel discussed the role of the Republic of Srpska in attracting foreign investment in the context of regional economic integration of the Balkans, as well as the need to strengthen economic relations with the United States and American partners.
At the opening, the gathering was addressed by the Acting Director of the Office for International Cooperation of the Republic of Srpska, Ana Trišić-Babić, and the President of the Gold Institute for International Cooperation, Eli Gold. The Summit was attended by the most prominent representatives of institutions from the Republic of Srpska and other countries, as well as those from the worlds of business, security, diplomacy and politics. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Gold Institute, Michael Flynn, an American general and former national security advisor to Donald Trump, as well as officials from Serbia.
General Flynn spoke about the future of transatlantic security in a multipolar world, Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović discussed the diplomatic and economic vision of the Republic of Srpska, while Prime Minister Savo Minić participated in the closing remarks that should set the framework for the continuation of the transatlantic dialogue with the Balkans.
The Gold Institute for International Strategy opened a European office in Banja Luka, making Banja Luka the first European representative of this Washington-based organization.
