Minister Klokić joined a meeting yesterday held by the president of the Banja Luka Regional Chamber of Commerce, which was attended also by Dr Mihăiță Ene, Deputy Head of Mission for Political, Consular and Economic Affairs at the Embassy of Romania in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The main topic of the meeting was the expansion of economic relations between these two countries, and the attendees also touched on the current foreign trade.
Minister Klokić said that relations between Romania and Republic of Srpska were good, and that we had no open political issues.
President Račić noted the cooperation with the Chambers of Romania, Ploiești and Bucharest, and that there was room for economic cooperation.
According to Ene, there is concrete interest in importing our products to Romania, specifically in the IT sector, wood, processing, food and textile industries, as well as the defense industry (weapons, ammunition, overhaul). Also, Romanian investors are interested in the conditions for investing in the Republic of Srpska in the field of construction industry and renewable energy sources.
