As part of his visit to Vienna, BiH Minister of Security Nenad Nešić visited the Viennese Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska, where he spoke with the head of the Representation, Mladen Filipović, and representatives of Serbian associations in Austria. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of BiH to Austria, His Excellency Siniša Bencun.

The meeting discussed the activities of the Representation, considered the situation in the diaspora, and after that emphasized the support to the Republic of Srpska for the preservation of its constitutional competences guaranteed by the Dayton Peace Agreement.

The Minister of Security BiH Nenad Nešić said that he was proud of the work done by the Republic of Srpska Representation in Austria, helping the people of Srpska by attracting investments and humanitarian actions, and being constantly at the service of Serbs in Austria.

‘Our people in Austria are ready to help strengthen the Republic of Srpska and have something to offer, especially regarding improving the economic climate in Srpska and attracting new investments’, said Nešić.

During his visit to Vienna, Nešić met with the Austrian Minister of the Interior, Gerhard Karner, Republic of Srpska diaspora in Austria, Serbian cultural and youth organizations, employees of Srpska’s Austrian Representation, and also visited His Eminence Andrej, the Bishop of Austria and Switzerland and the whole of Italy and Malta.

He pointed out that cultural societies in Austria were doing a great thing by preserving Serbian tradition.
