One of the largest investments in the production sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the opening of a large factory of the German company Mubea in Prnjavor, and according to initial information, many people working abroad have responded to the job advertisement.

Namely, this company is looking for 700 employees.

According to Darko Tomaš, the mayor of Prnjavor, more than a quarter of those applying for a job in this company are people working abroad and wishing to return.

‘Every investment and every job is important, especially the investments by renowned global companies. The information I received from this company says that more than a quarter of those applying for jobs in the system are people from Prnjavor who work abroad, and that is some very positive information that speaks about the current situation both in Prnjavor and in the Republic of Srpska’, Tomaš said.

According to him, many people applying for jobs in this factory come from neighboring towns, not only from Prnjavor.

‘What we are doing with businessmen is attracting people from other local communities, not only from Prnjavor, and I think we will succeed in that. Very importantly, this investment will in no way harm the Prnjavor labor market or threaten the existing investors working in our city. It is necessary to build the facilities, and this can take up to a year and a half, and then we can expect them to start working at full capacity’, emphasized Tomaš.

At the end of July, this company registered Mubea Carbo Tech BH d.o.o. in Banja Luka.

The paid-up capital of the company is BAM 195,583, and the owner of 100 percent of the shares is the German parent company Mubea Carbo Tech GmbH.

The activity of the company is production of plastic plates, sheets, tubes and profiles, and the director is Bernhard Spielvogel.

Mubea is a world-renowned company with more than 14,000 employees at 48 locations around the world, and its 2022 revenue amounted to around three billion euros.
