The exhibition in the Memorial Room in Lopare, built in memory of the soldiers from the area of Majevica who gave their lives for the creation of Srpska, will soon be completed.
The Memorial Room contains photographs of 242 killed soldiers, 15 civilian victims, three war flags, emblems of war units, memorial book, combat uniforms and trophies, as well as soldiers’ handicrafts, order of battle maps, and magazines of war units printed during the war. Although the works started nine years ago, the task has not been completed due to lack of finances. According to responsible persons, there are no display cases under the frames containing photos of the killed soldiers.
However, this task will be finalized thanks to people from the diaspora.
– The funds were donated to us by the businessman and humanitarian Miroslav Kojadinović, who lives and works in Germany, and is originally from the Republic of Srpska. During the summer, he visited the Memorial Room and donated BAM 3,500 to the Veterans’ Organization, the exact amount needed to make the display cases for keeping the items from the Defensive and Patriotic War – said the president of the municipal Veterans’ Organization in Lopare, Risto Radić.
