New premises have been opened in Linz, to be used by the Association of Serb Clubs in Upper Austria for its activities, announced Srpska’s Representative Office in Vienna noting that they will continue to support Serb clubs and associations throughout Austria in implementing their programs and contacts with local communities and institutions in this country.

The common goal is to maintain and improve the operation of the clubs and associations, and to continue the activities of importance for the numerous Serb community in Austria, reads the statement issued on the occasion of last night’s opening of the new premises.

Providing of the new headquarters for the umbrella organization of the Serb diaspora in Upper Austria was supported by the institutions of the Republic of Srpska and Serbia, with the main goal to implement various social and cultural programs in a common space, and gather members of Serb clubs and associations from Austria.

‘After the challenges we faced due to the coronavirus pandemic, it is a great pleasure to see the Serb community reunite and implement various activities. Serb clubs in Austria are a place where the Serb diaspora unites, and by organizing numerous events, endeavor to preserve our customs, culture and tradition’, said the head of the Representation of Srpska in Vienna, Mladen Filipović.

He pointed out that that was why it is important to support their work and activities.

The Association of Serb Clubs of Upper Austria notes that the door of the Association will always be open to all members of Serb clubs and associations, and that they hope to implement numerous activities together.
