The Head of the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Serbia, Mlađen Cicović, said that he was satisfied with the work of the Representation in the outgoing year, that Srpska and Serbia had never had better relations at all levels, and announced a new project Zavičajni Klub (homeland club) for next year.

He said that the Days of Srpska in Serbia event, as well as the Days of Serbia in Srpska had shown those relations in the best light and that he believed it would remain so also in the future.

The Days of Srpska in Serbia event has become the largest traditional event in which the Republic of Srpska Representation introduces the Republic of Srpska comprehensively to the citizens of Serbia during seven days through various programs in the fields of culture, art and creativity, science, education, economy and more.

According to Cicović, this year the Representation has continued to implement planned activities in the fields of institutional, business and economic, scientific and technical, educational, cultural, sports and informational cooperation and in the fields of health, social welfare and veterans’ and disabled persons’ protection.

ZAVIČAJNI KLUB PROJECT STARTS NEXT YEAR

What the Republic of Srpska Representation in Serbia will be engaged in also in the next year, says Cicović, is the implementation of all these projects with a special emphasis on cooperation between business entities of Serbia and Srpska and encouraging manufacturers and investors from Serbia to invest in the Republic of Srpska.

He stated that next year the Representation would launch a new project Zavičajni Klub with the goal of involving as many compatriots from Serbia and the region as possible in the implementation of its projects and activities aimed at representing the Republic of Srpska and strengthening Srpska-Serbia cooperation.

– With this project, we want to identify and involve not only the people directly originating from the Republic of Srpska or connected to the Republic of Srpska by family ties, and living and working in Serbia and the region, but also others willing to participate in the implementation of our projects and wishing to contribute to the development and progress of the Republic of Srpska and to all-Serbian unity and sobornost - noted Cicović.
