Children from six countries of the region will be staying in the heart of Šumadija for the next six days within the Serbian World - New Leaders learning camp. The camp is organized by the Association of St Sava Celebrations, and project implementation was co-financed by the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region.
In the next few days, numerous cultural and learning workshops await the children from the region to help them learn about the rich Serbian cultural heritage.
During their stay, the children will visit the sights of the city of Čačak and also have a one-day study trip to the Studenica and Žiča monasteries, a tour of Ovčar Banja within the planned activities, as well as numerous activities in the fields of literature, music, sports, etc.
Čačak student dormitory, where the children are accommodated, hosted a formal reception for the children last night. The ceremony was attended by the director of the Student Dormitory, Ivana Vukajlović, the assistant mayor for the area of social activities, Miroslav Petković, the president of the Association of St Sava Celebrations, Đuro Ćeranić. The advisor to the director of the Directorate for the region, Đorđe Aleksić, addressed the attendees at the opening of the camp and wished the children a nice stay in Serbia and lots of new knowledge and acquaintances.
