This year’s traditional 12th Vuk’s Days were held on 19 November in the Linhart Hall in Radovljica, which was packed with fans of the art of folk dance and Serbian culture.
Opening the 2022 Vuk’s Days, program host Snežana Maksimović welcomed all visitors and participants and said, ‘A year has passed since we met here at the same place, at the 11th Vuk’s Days. I believe that you have missed our cultural evenings and events, which is why we are here tonight with the same goal, to present you only a part of our folk dance, singing and musical tradition’.
Program participants included folk dance group Iskra Emeco from Kranj, members of the male singing group of the Vuk Karadžić cultural, educational, sports and humanitarian association from Radovljica, and Radoslav Milanović, author of three published poetry collections.
The audience had the opportunity to hear the performance of a female singing duet from the Serb Cultural and Educational Community from Salzburg, as well as members of the female singing group of the Vuk Karadžić association from Radovljica.
The last point of the program belonged to the host, the performing ensemble of the Vuk Karadžić association.
This project is financially supported by the Republic of Slovenia’s Public Fund for Cultural Activities, as well as the municipality of Radovljica.
