Starting today, the Tourism Organization of the Republic of Srpska is participating at the International Tourism Fair in Vienna to present its entire offer for the upcoming season in addition to its active tourism which arouses particular interest with Austrian tourists.
Tourism Organization’s Public Relations Associate, Sanela Šimun, said that the focus would be on the offer of cities, spa centers, rafting, canyoning, rural tourism, summer offers, cultural and historical heritage, gastronomic offer and other types of active tourism. This is the largest tourism fair in Austria that presents 70 countries, with more than 700 exhibitors and around 150,000 visitors.
Šimun stated that the Austrian market was important for the Republic of Srpska due to its size and source market proximity, as well as the spending habits of Austrian tourists.
‘According to data from the Republic Statistics Office, tourists from Austria spent 16,203 nights in the Republic of Srpska in 2025, which is 12.5 percent more than the previous year,’ Šimun said.
The fair runs from today until Sunday, 18 January. The presentation of the Republic of Srpska’s tourist offer at this fair is organized in cooperation with the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Austria and Srpska’s Ministry of Trade and Tourism.
