This year’s Days of the Diaspora event, held for the thirteenth time in the Majevica municipality of Lopare, ended in a local products fair.
The many stands furnished by associations, individuals and small businesses offered visitors authentic products from the territory of Majevica, Semberija and other parts of the Republic of Srpska, Serbia and the region.
Majevica cheese zarac, flour products from mills, honey and other bee products, medicinal plants, vegetables, fruits, various types of brandy, wood carvings and many other products were presented to fair visitors.
The head of the Lopare municipality, Rado Savić, said that this year’s thirteenth Diaspora Days had passed successfully, and that a large number of visitors living in the motherland, as well as Majevicans from abroad, guests from the region and sister municipalities and cities had attended the events prepared for the occasion.
He noted that joint projects and investments by the diaspora and local businessmen should be continued, and that this was a good prelude to the next Days of the Diaspora.
