Zlatan Klokić, the Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation of the Republic of Srpska, stated that the Most 2026 Forum, scheduled for 17-19 September in Banja Luka, aimed to connect Serbia and the Republic of Srpska in the tourism sector and to define a joint tourism offering.

Klokić said there was significant potential and opportunity for tour operators from the Republic of Srpska and Serbia to create a joint program for visiting tourist destinations along the Drina River, which connects Srpska and Serbia.

– Regarding spas, we can adopt much of the experience Serbia has gained, as they have made great strides in this area. The purpose of this event is to enhance cooperation and identify concrete steps we will take in the coming period – he said, adding that the Ministry was pleased to support this event, which he is confident will become even more significant in the years ahead.

Klokić stated that the initiative for a joint tourism offering was launched by Mlađen Cicović, Head of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Serbia.

– He has long advocated for the idea of creating a joint tourism offering for the Podrinje region and all the locations that connect the Republic of Srpska and Serbia. We know that many people from Serbia visit Bijeljina and Višegrad, so we can make a joint tourism offering for these locations. This event will certainly serve as a venue for defining concrete points and ways for the joint tourism offering, to provide our tour operators with an offering satisfying the tourists from Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, as well as international visitors to Serbia and the Republic of Srpska – said Klokić.

He added that small-scale producers would play a significant role in this collaborative project, thus enhancing the offering and attracting more visitors.

Speaking about the Day of Serbian Unity and the National Flag, Klokić said that the joint celebration was very important and that Srpska and Serbia cherished the values of freedom and unity.
