The Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region has opened a competition for co-financing the projects whose quality contributes to preserving and strengthening ties between the homeland and Serbs in the region.

Applications for the competition may be submitted from 1 February to 15 February 2023. The competition is open to the projects that aim to support organizing schools, events, improving communication, projects that contribute to protecting the rights and to the interests of citizens of the Republic of Serbia and Serbs outside their homeland, projects that contribute to the culture of remembrance, and projects that contribute to the improvement of economic cooperation of the Republic of Serbia and Serbs outside their homeland.

The priorities of these projects are upgrading the capacity of organizations and associations of Serbian communities outside the homeland, activities aimed at preserving the cultural and linguistic identity of the diaspora, presenting Serbian culture and art abroad, gathering members of Serbian communities from abroad in the homeland, presenting economic potential of Serbia abroad, improving the media and media capacities of associations and organizations of the Serbian community abroad, and supporting cooperation and networking of Serbian youth abroad.

Project implementation is scheduled until 28 February 2023. The competition is published on the websites of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs www.mfa.gov.rs and Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region www.dijaspora.gov.rs, and in the daily newspaper Vesti. Application for participation in the competition should be submitted via the web platform on the official websites of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region: www.mfa.gov.rs and www.dijaspora.gov.rs. Applications submitted by other means (e.g. by mail, fax, etc.) will not be considered.
