Last weekend, the Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Parish Rotterdam organized a solemn celebration of the great Serbian holiday, Vidovdan in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. ‘In the presence of numerous invitees and guests, with an appropriate cultural and artistic program, the Serbian community of the Netherlands paid tribute to the Great Martyr Tsar Lazar and all Serbs who had sacrificed their lives throughout history for the freedom of their people’, said the teacher of the Serbian supplementary school in Rotterdam, Biljana Krčum.
The program included participation of students of the Rotterdam supplementary classes in Serbian who reminded us with their performance ‘how proud we are of the Cyrillic script and alphabet, and our language. They showed that we can use it to elicit laughter, to teach and convey the message of love for people, nation and homeland’, added teacher Biljana Krčum.
