The Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation of the Republic of Srpska, Zlatan Klokić, said that this Ministry would provide all necessary support to the city of Prijedor to realize a diaspora forum planned in July, and that activities had been agreed to present and position this city in the Republic of Srpska representative offices abroad.
“We will arrange a scanning and presentation of the city of Prijedor in Serbia through the site E-kapija, which we are operating in cooperation with other local self-government units throughout Srpska, as well as a presentation of Prijedor in our other representative offices, in terms of participation in forums that we have realized during the past period,” Klokić told reporters in Prijedor, where he met with Mayor Dalibor Pavlović today and visited the city’s Economic Development Agency Preda-PD.
Minister Klokić commended the work of this development agency and the projects it had implemented so far.
“The value of these projects alone exceeds BAM 10 million, and that speaks enough that they have done a really good job of developing the city and supporting young people, the economy and all sectors that mean development,” said Klokić.
The Mayor of Prijedor said that, in addition to the need for the representative offices of Srpska to recognize Prijedor so that potential investors can have information about the city, he spoke with Klokić about opening of a city office for the diaspora in July.
“A visit was organized to the Agency Preda-PD, which is one of the best development agencies in the Republic of Srpska and which is in charge of projects in cooperation with international organizations,” Pavlović said.
The acting director of the Preda-PD Agency, Aleksandar Drljača, said that he presented the work of the Agency so far to Klokić, as well as plans for the future.
“We have made all our capacities available to the city, and we also want a partnership with the Ministry of European Integration and International Cooperation, to learn from them, and to make all our capacities available to them as well,” Drljača pointed out.
