The Head of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Russia, Duško Perović, said that this Representation was achieving the set goals successfully, especially regarding connecting the Republic of Srpska and Russia in the fields of economy, culture and sports, and announced that the Speaker of Srpska’s National Assembly, Nenad Stevandić, was expected to visit Moscow on 20 February.

– The Speaker and a delegation of the National Assembly are coming on 20 February, and they will have meetings at the highest political and economic level until 23 February – said Perović and pointed out that Srpska’s position would be reiterated regarding not imposing sanctions on Russia and readiness for cooperation.

Referring to the engagement of the Republic of Srpska Representation in Russia, Perović said that they were working even more than their capacities allowed, noting that this year’s budget was ten percent smaller than the previous one.

– The Representation of Srpska in Russia has always been bringing in, we are working hard for the Republic of Srpska. Some things have stopped because of the situation between Russia and Ukraine, but we believe that all opportunities will open up again soon – emphasized Perović.

He said that there were good chances for cooperation in the field of trade, the IT sector, and that they were working on several economic programs, which he would talk about after the implementation.

He pointed out that they were very proud of the cooperation with Russia in the field of healthcare, because many people from Srpska had come to Russia for treatment, primarily oncology patients.

– The Representative Office helps those people to come for treatment; we provide the families with accommodation, transportation, food... It is our civic duty to help – emphasized Perović.
