The Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Radovan Višković, said in Laktaši that opening of the new production facility of the company MAHLE Electric Drives Bosnia best confirmed what Srpska had been doing to create a positive climate for investors. ‘We are grateful to this company that has rebutted all those considering Srpska an undesirable destination. Operating here for more than 20 years, with 400 employees before this investment, 600 of them today, 800 by the end of the year and aiming for 1,000 workers, they are showing clearly their conditions for doing business,’ said Prime Minister Višković.

He stated that time would show that MAHLE management had made the right decision to develop business here and to keep increasing staff numbers year after year. ‘Therefore it is quite clear why this company is in Laktaši today, in the suburbs of the EU. Our people need not leave to work for this company in Germany or elsewhere, they can work here for salaries that are above Srpska’s average,’ said the Prime Minister of Srpska and added that this was this investment’s greatest achievement.

Prime Minister Radovan Višković noted that the company had invested more than 20 million euros in the facilities in Aleksandrovac alone, and further investments would be made in the machines to be installed, state-of-the-art equipment costing several tens of millions of euros.

‘Is there a better way to celebrate the Day of the City of Laktaši than to have facilities open today by such a renowned company whose products will be distributed all over the world,’ added Prime Minister Višković.

The company MAHLE is a leading supplier of automotive industry systems, and the parts it produces are incorporated in every other car in the world. These are parts for passenger, freight and work vehicles. This company has 600 employees in Laktaši and tends towards that number reaching 1,000.
