Министар за европске интеграције и међународну сарадњу Републике Српске Златан Клокић и  шеф Представништва Републике Српске у Србији Млађен Цицовић, разговарали су 16.03.2021. године у Београду са Арнo Гујоном, в.д. директором Управе за сарадњу с дијаспором и Србима у региону.

Klokić noted the determination of the Government of the Republic of Srpska to accommodate the needs of our people living abroad and help them preserve their national identity, to provide the necessary conditions for deeper cooperation with the diaspora in the future, as well as to strengthen business ties with the motherland.

The Minister informed Gouillon about the recent establishment of the Department for Cooperation with the Diaspora within the Ministry of European Integration and International Cooperation and about the initial steps taken in that direction by developing a Strategic Plan and pending Action Plan for Cooperation with the Diaspora that will define the operational tasks and measures for the achievement of the planned goals.

At the meeting the participants discussed exchange of experiences and future cooperation on joint activities of Srpska and Serbia with the diaspora, especially on preserving and developing the spiritual, national and cultural independence of the Serbian people outside the homeland, on economic and cultural networking, and on preserving the Serbian language and Cyrillic script.

The need was noted for additional education in the diaspora, with a particular emphasis on the importance of unity of the diaspora as the first and most important condition for the preservation of national identity, language, script, religion and tradition.

The interlocutors agreed to launch an initiative to sign a new Memorandum of Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Srpska and the Government of the Republic of Serbia to strengthen ties between the motherland and the diaspora from the territory of Serbia and Srpska, as well as an initiative to develop joint textbooks for diaspora children.
