In the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia to Slovenia in Ljubljana, the Director of the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region, Vladimir Kokanović, presented a donation of books to teachers of the Serbian Supplementary School, intended for children attending classes in the Serbian language.

Preserving language, culture and identity among the youngest in the diaspora is one of our most important tasks. Serbian supplementary schools in the diaspora represent a strong support in this process, because it is through education and books that children maintain a living connection with their origins and homeland.

The Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region will continue to support such initiatives, because investing in our children means investing in the future of the Serbian people, wherever they live.
