Head of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Austria, Mladen Filipović, said that the Serbian community in Austria, numerous associations and clubs, support the institutions of the Republic of Srpska in defending national interests and integrity of the institutions, stressing the indisputability of diaspora’s support.

– On behalf of the Republic of Srpska’s Austrian Representation and large Serbian community, I express my unconditional support to the President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik and the entire leadership to persevere in defending the constitutional and legal order – said Filipović on the occasion of today’s large public rally Srpska Is Calling You at Krajina Square in Banja Luka.

He noted that the legal violence being attempted against the institutions of the Republic of Srpska was an attack on the entire Republic and its citizens.

– This is a key moment for the defense of the Republic of Srpska, and that is why it is important that we all be united and support unreservedly President Dodik and institutions of the Republic of Srpska – said Filipović.

He also touched upon the continuation of the trial of Dodik and the acting director of the Official Gazette of the Republic of Srpska, Miloš Lukić, before the Court of BiH, and stated that all the facts indicated that the indictment lacked legal basis and represented the most callous form of politicking directed against Srpska’s institutions.

– I believe the Republic of Srpska has the capacity to defend its constitutional competences and continue to pursue a responsible dialog-based policy – added Filipović, who attended the trial of the President of the Republic of Srpska yesterday in Sarajevo.

He emphasized that a large number of citizens from the Republic of Srpska living in Austria were contacting the Representation every day in order to support the institutions and President Dodik, but also to express their concern about the obvious injustice being done to the Serbian people in BiH.

– Our diaspora’s support is indisputable, and I believe that the political circles of Austria are also aware of the legal and political violence being perpetrated against the institutions of the Republic of Srpska – said Filipović.
