Republic of Srpska homeland associations in Switzerland and Association of Serb Businessmen in Switzerland organized the celebration of the Day of the Republic of Srpska in Zurich.

Slava bread was broken in the Serbian Orthodox Church temple in Zurich on the occasion of the feast of Saint Archdeacon Stephen.

The Minister of Energy and Mining of the Republic of Srpska, Petar Đokić, and Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation of the Republic of Srpska, Zlatan Klokić, attended the celebration.

Minister Klokić expressed the hope that year after year, the celebration of the Day of the Republic of Srpska in Switzerland would become increasingly significant and bring together people from business and culture, as well as Swiss people who support the Republic of Srpska.

Klokić said that he was very glad to attend the celebration of the Republic Day in Zurich again this year and congratulated the organizers.

– Wherever there is initiative for our people to celebrate the Republic Day, we, on behalf of the institutions, are very glad to respond and provide support – emphasized Klokić.

Minister Đokić said that it was of particular importance that people gather in such places out of love and respect for Srpska.

Đokić stated that representatives of the institutions of Srpska wanted to encourage Serbs to cultivate a culture of communication and respect for the idea of the Republic of Srpska and to pass it on to the young generations, so that they all contribute to the development of business, cultural and social activities together, and nurture the identity of the Serbian people – the alphabet, language, culture, customs, tradition, Orthodox faith.

He said that the Srpska delegation had come to Zurich to encourage the Serbs in Switzerland who had already developed to the level of investors and to show them basic information that might motivate them to decide to invest in the development of Srpska.

On the occasion of the Republic of Srpska Day, the Serbian Diaspora Business Forum was held, as well as a formal celebration, aimed at promoting the potential of the Republic of Srpska and improving cooperation between our businessmen and Swiss counterparts.

In the coming period, the institutions of Srpska will continue to work on improving the cooperation of domestic and Swiss businessmen.
