A meeting of businessmen, associations and clubs was held in the premises of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Germany with the head of the Representation Mićo Ćetković and officials from the Republic of Srpska regarding potentials for investing in the Republic of Srpska and cooperating with our businessmen, associations and clubs.
The meeting discussed the upcoming Wine and Food Fair, to be held in Stuttgart in April, involving Republic of Srpska winemakers in the fair to present their products and also expand the market.
The discussion also touched upon the second Republic of Srpska Business Days conference organized by the Republic of Srpska Representation in Germany in June, with the aim of encouraging business activities and attracting foreign investors.
The meeting was attended by Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation Zlatan Klokić, Minister of Energy and Mining Petar Đokić, Vice President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Anja Ljubojević, Chairperson of the Council of Peoples of the Republic of Srpska Srebrenka Golić.
Zlatan Klokić, Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation of the Republic of Srpska, said that cooperation with the diaspora was important and needed improving.
– We spoke about improving the work of our associations and better cooperation with the institutions of Srpska – said Klokić.
BiH Consul General in Stuttgart, Vera Sajić, spoke with officials from the Republic of Srpska about the work of this consulate.
She says that she spoke about the people from Srpska and BiH living in Stuttgart, the work of associations from Srpska and BiH in that city and Germany, and cooperation with them.
‘A visit to Stuttgart has been arranged with representatives of the Investment Development Bank of the Republic of Srpska for October, when investment opportunities in the Republic of Srpska will be presented to German businessmen and our businessmen living in Germany,’ Sajić said.
‘That is why we need to offer quality products and good projects,’ added Sajić.
The meeting was attended by Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation Zlatan Klokić, Minister of Energy and Mining Petar Đokić, Vice President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Anja Ljubojević, Chairperson of the Council of Peoples of the Republic of Srpska Srebrenka Golić, and Director of the Environmental Protection Fund Srđan Todorović.
Marking of the Day of the Republic of Srpska in Stuttgart was organized by the Republic of Srpska Representation in Germany.
The Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation Zlatan Klokić said that it was important to mark this most important day in Srpska’s history wherever there was Serbian people.
Klokić thanked the Republic of Srpska Stuttgart Representation for organizing the Republic Day celebration also this year.
– I am glad that people who carry the Republic of Srpska in their hearts gathered in Stuttgart tonight. It is very important that we mark this day wherever our people are, and Stuttgart is the place where the first Republic Day celebration was organized outside Srpska’s borders – said Klokić.
Concerning cooperation of the diaspora with the institutions of the Republic of Srpska, Klokić said that it was very important, especially in the economy, because it ultimately meant strengthening Srpska in economic sense and in every other.
– I am very encouraged by the meetings we had with our businessmen who are willing to invest in Srpska. I hope that in the coming period we will have successful cooperation with our people in Stuttgart, who are Srpska’s best ambassadors in Germany – said Klokić.
He noted that the institutions of Srpska at all levels – municipal, city and republic would readily welcome all people from the diaspora interested in investing in the Republic of Srpska.
– This has been demonstrated so far, and an example is the statement of a successful investor in Srpska, who said that he had come with sincere intentions, that he had found sincere partners in the Republic of Srpska and that they worked in mutual interest – said Klokić.
He thanked Serbian associations in Germany that preserve Serbian culture and tradition, adding that having children in the diaspora learn the Serbian language and history, preserved the identity, which was the basis for the preservation of Srpska.
Minister Petar Đokić stated that Srpska was a stable political community, very responsible in its social and political role, in the territory of both BiH and Europe.
The Chairperson of the Council of Peoples of the Republic of Srpska, Srebrenka Golić, said that the Republic of Srpska was promoted as a BiH Entity that wanted peace for all peoples in this country, that it wanted freedom, not foreign tutors.
The marking of the Republic of Srpska Day in Stuttgart was attended by, among others, the Vice President of the National Assembly Anja Ljubojević and BiH Consul General in Stuttgart Vera Sajić.
