Prosvjeta SECS Austria organized the Prosvjeta Meetings and Conversations in Vienna, a cultural event dedicated to marking the 200th anniversary of the birth of Serbian academic, author and travel writer Ljubomir Nenadović, 1826–1895. The ceremony was held in the hall of the House of Sports bringing together numerous representatives of institutions, diplomacy, cultural and public life of the Serbian community in Austria, as well as guests from Serbia and the Republic of Srpska.

One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of the work and activities of the Ljubomir Nenadović Home Library from Valjevo, and signing of a cooperation agreement between Prosvjeta Austria and this important cultural institution. The agreement signing will open the way for new joint projects, cultural programs, promotions, forums and activities aimed at preserving the Serbian language, Cyrillic script, culture and traditions among Serbs in the diaspora.

Prosvjeta Meetings and Conversations in Vienna once again showed the importance of connecting homeland institutions with Serbian organizations in the diaspora, in order to further strengthen the cultural and spiritual ties of the Serbian people throughout Europe. The President of Prosvjeta Austria, Marko Sarić, welcomed the attendees and spoke about the historical significance of Vienna for the Serbian people, emphasizing the importance of preserving the cultural and national identity of Serbs in Austria and the diaspora.

The great interest and presence of distinguished guests confirmed the importance of Prosvjeta Meetings and Conversations for the Serbian community in Austria and the preservation of Serbian cultural identity in the diaspora.

For years, Prosvjeta Austria has been actively working to preserve Serbian culture, tradition, language and spirituality through numerous cultural programs, forums, exhibitions and promotions. Organizing such events is an important contribution to strengthening ties between Serbia, the Republic of Srpska and the Serbian people in the diaspora.
