The students of supplementary classes in the Serbian language from Nuremberg and Erlangen and teacher Gordana Budiša in the German province of Bavaria wished farewell to their most senior schoolmates who had completed the eighth grade. As teacher Budiša points out, the joint final event, where certificates were presented to the 8th grade students, was held at the Cyril and Methodius Serbian Orthodox Church in Nuremberg.

‘The students prepared a program filled with songs and recitations that they had learned during the school year. The folders presented to the eighth graders included certificates and report cards, the anthem, the alphabet, letters of appreciation, and copied newspaper articles about the activities that took place during their attendance at supplementary classes’, added teacher Gordana Budiša.

In addition to the joint farewell event, Nuremberg and Erlangen students ended the school year with a visit to the swimming pools in Nuremberg and Erlangen, which gave them particular joy in these hot days. The supplementary classes in Serbian in Erlangen and Nuremberg are organized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia.
