A humanitarian-type painting workshop has been opened in the premises of the Association of Serbian Clubs in Vienna, which will offer the possibility to buy paintings and thus donate the money to children from Kosovo and Metohija.
The Head of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Austria, Mladen Filipović, visited the workshop and expressed his support for this humanitarian action.
Majda Milivojević, the founder of the foundation of the same name, which is the organizer of this action in cooperation with the Serbian Clubs Association in Vienna, says that their expectations are to return smiles to the little ones at least for a while, that is, to help them.
– About two weeks ago, when implementing a donation to the Clinical Hospital Center in Kosovska Mitrovica, we received a really wonderful welcome. The people were really warm and pleasant and offered a nice welcome to us from the foundation – said Milivojević.
She expressed her gratitude to Luka Marković, the President of the Association of Serbian Clubs in Vienna, and others who had obliged them.
– I want to thank Luka Marković, Mladen and Aleksandra for hosting us and enabling us to organize this donor evening. I thank them from the bottom of my heart; they managed to put back smiles on our children’s faces – said Milivojević.
Marković expressed his satisfaction that they had the opportunity to host such an event.
– Today we are hosting a foundation from our motherland, and it is my pleasure that we can receive them and be their hosts. It is a great honor for us to be able to help someone and put a smile back on someone’s face and make someone happy. Everyone is invited to such event and what kind of community would it be if it was not humane, if it did not engage in humane work. I would also like to thank Aleksandra who organized all this. She was full of enthusiasm and strength to find good people wishing to help, to organize everything, and that we do this humane work’, noted Marković.
Kolo cultural and artistic society from Maria Enzersdorf also responded to today’s humanitarian painting workshop.
Ana Branković, Kolo’s artistic director, says that they responded as a cultural and artistic society in order to support the action for the brave and vulnerable children from Kosovo and Metohija.
– Regarding our cultural and artistic society, I can praise our parents and the entire administration since they constantly support everything related to humanitarian actions in both Vienna and Lower Austria – said Branković.
