The Investment Development Bank of the Republic of Srpska continues its activities on strongly promoting the Republic of Srpska’s potential in order to attract quality foreign investments.
The acting director, Dražen Vrhovac, was on a two-day visit to Vienna, where together with the Head of the Republic of Srpska Viennese Representative Office, Mladen Filipović, at the invitation of Austrian businessmen, he had three meetings with businessmen who showed great interest in investing in the Republic of Srpska and our municipalities, announced the Republic of Srpska IDB.
Vrhovac introduced the Austrian businessmen to the current IDB activities in the field of attracting foreign investments, and presented them the investment profiles of the Republic of Srpska and our 64 municipalities.
– This is our second visit to Vienna. I am extremely satisfied with these meetings, but also with the outcome of last year’s encounters, which resulted in constant invitations and interest from Austria, and an Austrian company coming for negotiations to Prijedor. Subject to their investment preferences, we connected many businessmen with representatives of our local communities – said Vrhovac.
During the meetings, there was also talk about the international business forum to be organized by the Republic of Srpska Investment Development Bank in the autumn in Banja Luka, for which interest has been expressed so far by investors from Italy, Hungary and the Russian Federation, in addition to Austrian investors.
During his visit to Vienna, at the invitation of BiH Ambassador to the OSCE, Siniša Bencun, Vrhovac also attended a reception at the Museum of Military History for more than 150 guests from the Viennese diplomatic community, which followed after the closing plenary session of the four-month BiH chairmanship of the OSCE Forum for Security Cooperation, based in Vienna.
