Today, Višegrad will host the International Children’s Folk Dance Festival Licider Heart, which will gather 1,000 participants from 11 countries.

The youth from Hungary, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Mexico, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Turkey, Greece, Slovenia, Republic of Srpska and Serbia are taking part in the festival.

The folklore workshop will be held at Byzantium Square in Andrićgrad at 13:00 hrs, and a reception for participants in the Town Hall was also announced.

The ceremonial parade of the participants will begin at 18:30 hrs and move from the Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge, through Kralja Petra Prvog Street to Andrićgrad, where the folk dance festival will be held at 19:00 hrs.

The Heart of Licider festival will last until Friday, 19 August, and it is held in Užice, Zlatibor and Višegrad.

This traditional International Children’s Folk Dance Festival was officially opened in Užice on Monday, 15 August.

The festival is organized by the Užice Citizens’ Association Era, under the auspices of the President of Serbia, and co-organized by the city of Užice, the Republic of Srpska Representation in Serbia, the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region, and Zlatibor Tourism Organization, with the support of the Serbian Ministry of Culture and Information and Ministry of Justice.
