The National and University Library of the Republic of Srpska presented the publishing production of the Republic of Srpska at the Thessaloniki International Book Fair held from 4 to 7 May.

A section with books from the Republic of Srpska was officially opened at the Central Library of the city of Thessaloniki.

Representatives of the Republic of Srpska NUL visited the Thessaloniki City Library and donated books for the newly opened Serbian Book Corner.

The meeting between the director of the Republic of Srpska National and University Library, Ljilja Petrović Zečić, the director of the city of Thessaloniki Central Library, Evangelia Avtsi, and the director of the Thessaloniki University Library, Georgios Zahos, agreed on a return visit to take place in September 2023.

A protocol of cooperation of these three libraries will be signed on that occasion.

The organizers of the Thessaloniki fair said that this year they had the largest number of both visitors and publishers. A visit to the Republic of Srpska NUL stand was organized for Greek students of the Serbian language.

The Head of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Thessaloniki, Jelena Jovanović, provided a great support to the participation and presentation of the Republic of Srpska NUL and publishing production of the Republic of Srpska at the Thessaloniki fair.

There was no ceremonial program at the Republic of Srpska NUL stand due to the national day of mourning declared on the occasion of the tragedy of 3 May at the Vladislav Ribnikar Elementary School in Belgrade.
