The Head of the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Austria, Mladen Filipović, and President of the Banja Luka Committee for Aid to Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, Milorad Arlov, signed a cooperation agreement in Vienna aimed at providing support to the Committee’s activities and improving cooperation with Serb clubs and associations in Austria.
Filipović said that this sent a message that the community in Austria supported the Serbian people in Kosmet.
– The Republic of Srpska Aid Committee works very assiduously to support Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, and by signing the agreement we will try to provide organized support to their activities and projects – said Filipović.
As a humanitarian organization, the Committee for Aid to Kosovo and Metohija Serbs has been organizing humanitarian actions to help the Serbian people in Kosmet for 15 years.
Arlov said that the Committee was thankful to Srpska’s Representation in Austria for its support, and expressed the belief that this agreement would result in joint implementation of many projects that would help the Serb community in Kosovo and Metohija, in particular the youth and children with developmental difficulties.
The Republic of Srpska Representation in Austria organized a meeting in Vienna of the leadership of the Alliance of Serbs in Austria and representatives of Serb clubs and associations in Austria with representatives of the Republic of Srpska Committee for Aid to Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.
A joint assessment was that the numerous Serb community in Austria could contribute to successful implementation of humanitarian actions and programs of the Committee.
On this occasion, Arlov presented many humanitarian actions implemented by the Committee with the aim of supporting and helping the Serb community in Kosovo and Metohija.
‘In cooperation with the Republic of Srpska Government, the Austrian Representation will continue to provide support to Serb clubs and associations in the implementation of their programs and in contacts with local communities and institutions in Austria. Today we discussed how our diaspora in Austria can support humanitarian actions to help Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, and signing of the Agreement is a step in that direction’, said Filipović.
