The Serbia and US Tesla Science Foundation and the Republic of Srpska Association of Inventors signed a Memorandum of Cooperation yesterday in Belgrade to contribute to the development of innovation, cooperation, networking of Nikola Tesla Clubs in Srpska, Serbia and the region, and the affirmation of the work and legacy of one of the world’s greatest minds.

The President of the Inventors’ Association of the Republic of Srpska, Milovan Bajić, said that innovation in the Republic of Srpska was growing steadily, as best illustrated by the recent success of the INOST Youth International Exhibition of Ideas, Innovations and Creativity in Banja Luka, and expressed his expectation for this memorandum to contribute further to the interest of young researchers. Bajić noted that the signed agreement would be of manifold significance for both signatories, and enable joint events, promotions and various other activities.

Dalibor Misirača from the Republic of Srpska Inventors’ Association stated that this memorandum would enable advancing of the invention work to a higher level and recognition for young people.

International Director of the Nikola Tesla Clubs and the Tesla Science Foundation, Jadranko Danilović, said that the primary goal was to encourage the joint development and strengthening of the Nikola Tesla Clubs in Srpska, Serbia and the region, to connect young researchers, scientists and engineers around the world, and to strengthen cultural diplomacy.

On this occasion, the Tesla Science Foundation presented the President of the Inventors’ Association of the Republic of Srpska, Bajić, with a letter of appreciation and a medal. The Foundation’s gold medals were also awarded to the Đura Jakšić Elementary School from Kać and the Secondary School of Economics from Banja Luka. The Foundation’s activities planned to mark the 250th anniversary of the USA and the 170th anniversary of the birth of Nikola Tesla were also presented.
