Saint Sava celebration was held in the Serbian Saints Church in Stuttgart.

The Minister of Energy and Mining of the Republic of Srpska, Petar Đokić, who attended the St Sava celebration in Stuttgart, said that ‘the mission of educators is great for the future of the Serbian community that lives outside its motherland Serbia’.

- I would like to thank all those gathered who strive together to educate Serbian children in the spirit of Serbian tradition, nurturing the values of national identity. The most fundamental values of Serbian national identity are language, alphabet, religion, customs, history, culture, tradition. This is what the Serbian school here does in the supplementary program in terms of education for the Serbian people living in the territory of Germany, and coming from the territory of Serbia and Srpska - said Đokić.

Protoiereus Stanko Rakić, parish priest at the Serbian Saints Church in Stuttgart, said that the St Sava celebration was held in cooperation with the Consulate of Serbia and with the children attending a supplementary school in the Serbian language operating in the diaspora.

- We are especially honored and pleased that today the Serbs are united, regardless of the Serbian country they come from, and to have with us the members of Srpska delegation, led by Minister Đokić. We look forward to their coming to these and similar events in the future, to their not forgetting us in the diaspora, so that these young growing generations do not forget where they come from and where they should all aspire and return one day - protoiereus Rakić said.

The Eparchy of Austria and Switzerland, the Saint Sava Serbian Orthodox Municipality, organized a celebration of St Sava last night in Vienna.

For the Serbian people, Kosovo and Metohija is not just an ordinary territory and geography, but above all a place of vows, where the Serbs had confirmed their vow with God with blood and sacrifices and renewed it in every generation, said His Eminence Bishop Teodosije of Raška-Prizren at the St Sava celebration.

In his sermon, the Bishop reminded the Serbian people of the St Sava vow, emphasizing that this vow and devotion to St Sava had enabled the Serbian people to survive for centuries.

Among the guests at the St Sava celebration were Serbian Ambassador to Austria Nebojša Rodić, Ambassador and permanent representative of BiH to international organizations in Vienna Siniša Bencun, Head of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Austria Mladen Filipović.

St Sava was celebrated in Thessaloniki. The work and thought of St Sava sustained us in the difficult times of slavery and struggle for freedom, his work and teachings show us the path we should follow in the future, i.e. an example of how one should act responsibly to protect and advance the state, national and religious interests of own people.

The gathering of our diaspora around St Sava represents the most important event for all Serbs living abroad.

For that, we owe a great debt of gratitude to all our children who assembled us in Thessaloniki and showed us once again that the spirit of Saintsavaism lives on even in the most difficult times for the Serbian people.

Among others, the solemn celebration was attended by Jasmina Milačić, acting consul at the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Thessaloniki, as well as consuls Marko Stojanović and Nikola Savić, Father Marko, and Head of the Republic of Srpska Representation in Thessaloniki, Jelena Jovanović.
