The 9th Tesla Global Forum 2021 festival was opened yesterday in the ceremonial hall of the Matica Srpska library, in Matica Srpska in Novi Sad. The ninth Tesla Global Forum 2021 festival lasts from 9 to 12 July and is dedicated to popularizing the scientific, inventive, educational, cultural and spiritual heritage of Nikola Tesla.

The Tesla Global Forum Association brings together also this year students from Kosovo and Metohija, Republic of Srpska, Montenegro and Macedonia, doctoral students from Belgrade, Kragujevac, Novi Sad, students from the Regional Talent Center in Pančevo, as well as lecturers, professors, authors, artists from various fields of science, culture and spirituality who are creating and working on Tesla’s trail.

This year’s forum also marks the 165th anniversary of the birth of Nikola Tesla, as well as the 85th anniversary since Nikola Tesla was proclaimed an honorary citizen of Novi Sad (10 July 1936).

This year’s recipients of the White Dove award are Bora Dugić, a musical multi-instrumentalist; Pedrag Gaga Antonijević, director of the film Dara from Jasenovac; Aleksandar Raković, historian, and Dr Nebojša Kuzmanović, director of the Archives of Vojvodina. Recipients of Tesla Silver Coin are singers of ethnic and spiritual music Milica Dosković and Danica Crnogorčević.

On behalf of the Republic of Srpska Representation in Serbia and head of the Representation, Mlađen Cicović, Tatjana Duvnjak spoke at the opening ceremony, greeted the guests and recipients of the White Dove and Tesla Silver Coin recognitions, and wished successful work to the Tesla Global Forum association during the following days of the festival.

The Republic of Srpska Representation in Serbia has been supporting the Tesla Global Forum event for nine years, i.e. from the very beginning.
