The Republic of Srpska is a safe place to start a business and develop business projects, announced the Invest Forum held in Banja Luka. Organized by the Government of the Republic of Srpska and Investment Development Bank, the Forum gathered more than 300 businessmen from 22 countries. The President of the Republic, Milorad Dodik, invited investors to invest in Srpska and promised that the institutions would be available to all potential investors.

Take the Chance – Invest in Srpska is the motto under which the first investment forum was opened. Srpska is among the top three destinations that can offer excellent investment opportunities to foreign investors.

– To present the Republic of Srpska in one place, so that all of them see and experience Srpska as a location where they can develop their business successfully – said Dražen Vrhovac, IDB acting director.

Prime Minister Radovan Višković said that the Invest Forum proved that Srpska was not isolated and blocked, but rather a desirable destination for foreign and domestic investors. He stated that a stimulating tax policy and support reflected in benefits were Srpska’s comparative advantages.

– There are government decisions stating that depending on the investment, we may support a potential investor with certain benefits that are not common, such as refunding the tax paid for all the newly employed from one to three years for proven good investors in Srpska.

Srpska’s business environment was also presented to future investors and businessmen.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Radovan Višković, spoke with several foreign business delegations about investment potentials in the Republic of Srpska.

Višković introduced his interlocutors to the potential of the Republic of Srpska and presented the many benefits offered to potential foreign investors.

Višković supported the intent of the respectable German company Mubea to expand its business activities to Prnjavor, where they intend to open a factory for auto parts production with more than 1,000 employees.

In a conversation with Gerald Schrammel, the director of this company, Višković offered unequivocal support to the German company’s plans to start business activities in Srpska, noting that the Government would offer concrete and visible support to this greenfield investment.

Višković also met with the investment team director of Alcazar Energy from the United Arab Emirates, Piotr Woloszczenko, and the main topic of discussion was Alcazar Energy’s interest in investing in the Republic of Srpska, especially in the field of renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar energy.

Representatives of the Turkish group Dogus expressed willingness to expand their business activities to the Republic of Srpska.

During the meeting with the Prime Minister Radovan Višković, the Turkish company’s business development director, Ali Baru Alsirt, conveyed the interest of this company to expand its business to the Republic of Srpska.

Višković also met with representatives of the Austrian company Infinity Media.

Chinese businessmen presented to Višković companies from various branches of commerce, agriculture, finance, processing industry, IT sector, and on this occasion they expressed desire for cooperation in the field of wood processing, seafood processing in the Republic of Srpska and its sale on the EU market, and interest to establish a Chinese bank on the territory of the Republic of Srpska.

Višković also spoke with the regional manager for Europe of the AIM Global foundation from the United Arab Emirates, Kinga Krzymowska.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska was presented the Annual Investment Meeting – AIM Congress, organized by this international foundation.

There are huge investment opportunities in the Republic of Srpska, which is rich in natural resources, said Piotr Woloszczenko, representative of the United Arab Emirates company Alcazar Energy, who attended the Invest Forum in Banja Luka.
