At the initiative of the Kosovo and Metohija Aid Committee, the Alliance of Serbs in Austria is launching the Each Serb One Euro campaign to finance humanitarian projects, help vulnerable families, public and religious institutions and organizations preserving Serbian tradition and culture.

The President of the Banja Luka-based Committee for Aid to Kosovo and Metohija, Milorad Arlov, met in Vienna with the Head of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office, Mladen Filipović, and this project coordinator at the Alliance of Serbs in Austria, Jovana Gačić.

As stated, the previously agreed Each Serb One Euro project will start by the end of March and unfold on a monthly basis for Serbian children and Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, to be implemented by the Republic of Srpska Representation and the Alliance of Serbs in Austria.

This project will involve the numerous Serbian clubs and associations in Austria, which, by contributing one euro per month, will demonstrate humanity, but also Serbian sobornost for KiM.

This project has been planned and agreed to be long lasting, and its beginning will target the Podrži me – 9 January Day Center in Kosovska Mitrovica for children and youth with developmental difficulties, for center operation, van purchase and fire protection installation.

Discussions also covered other projects of the Committee and assistance to the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija planned for the coming period.

Arlov and Filipović agreed that the Kosovo and Metohija Aid Committee, through the Republic of Srpska Representations in Austria, would jointly include Serbian children from Austria this year in the large project Let’s Unite the Children of Kosovo and Metohija and the Republic of Srpska.

Around 50 Serbian children from Austria, aged 10 to 15, will be guests of their peers for several days in one of the cities of Srpska from 19 to 22 June this year.

The young Banja Luka singing group Beli Anđeo, which had delighted many distinguished guests in Vienna with its performance and patriotic songs and brightened the celebration of the anniversary of the first Constitution of the Republic of Srpska, expressed its willingness to always participate in Committee’s humanitarian events, which was reiterated by the group founder, Professor Dejana Vrućinić, and the secretary, Isidora Sekulić.
