The Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Vienna hosted a meeting between the head of the Representation, Mladen Filipović, and the management of the Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Srpska.
On this occasion, Filipović presented the activities of the Representation and support programs intended for export-oriented companies from Srpska, and emphasized that the Office cooperated successfully with institutions and business organizations on promoting the investment potential of the Republic of Srpska.
The meeting discussed the opportunities for improving cooperation. The director of the Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Srpska, Radivoja Krčmar, presented the ways in which this institution offers support to the domestic economy, which can contribute to the strengthening of business ties between the Republic of Srpska and Austria.
On this occasion, they also discussed the activities of the Western Balkans Green Navigator regional business association, founded by the Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Srpska, the Guarantee Fund of Vojvodina, and the Development Fund, which supports the transformation towards a climate-neutral economy.
It was jointly assessed that strengthening the cooperation of regional business associations could contribute to better results in attracting investors from the EU, and help domestic business entities in accessing international funding and adjusting to the regulations on economic and environmental sustainability.
The meeting in the Representation was also attended by the director of the Development Fund of Vojvodina, Goran Savić, and director of the investment sector in the Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Srpska, Vojislav Blagojević.
Delegations from the Republic of Srpska and Vojvodina were in Vienna on the occasion of the regular annual assembly of the European Association of Guarantee Institutions, held from 14 to 17 September.
