On 8 January, Yugorsk MBOU secondary school number 5 and Republic of Srpska Chess Association held the XVII Paths of Friendship Children’s International Online Christmas Chess Tournament.
Participants included 173 chess players aged from 6 to 17, i.e. 30 teams from the cities of Trebinje, Banja Luka, Bijeljina, Foča (Republic of Srpska), Pančevo, Novi Sad (Serbia) and Podgorica (Montenegro). Russia was represented by Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, Irkutsk, Kaliningrad, Chelyabinsk, Murmansk Oblast, Krasnodar Krai and others. This time the Paths of Friendship covered 8,000 km from east to west and 3,000 km from north to south.
